Château Pitot red wine AOC BordeauxOrigin Château Pitot – red wine AOC Bordeaux

Into the heart of the Bordeaux vineyard, the Lavergne family is currently operating 40 acres in Sauveterre de Guyenne, Saint Sulpice, St Leger and St Martin du Puy villages for several generations.

The property has been expanded and restructured by planting Sauvignon and Semillon for white grape varieties and Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the red ones, to give richness and depth to the current cuvée.

Grape varieties

Blend: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon

Vinification

Traditional maceration (21 days) allows to reveal all the fruity and tannic potential of the grapes.

The wine has been aged for at least one year in our cellars.

Tasting notes

Chateau Pitot’s palate successfully mixes blackcurrant and redcurrant aromas offering a perfect balance between roundness, mellow tannins and fruit flavors. A subtle menthol hint gives to this great wine a special character.
